Availability/ Accessibility

A successful real estate agent does not hide behind some obscure office. Since they deal with people who need houses, they should always be available on all fronts where customers might want to meet them. Ability to use modern technology to advertise their businesses is a plus as this will make them reach out to many deserving clients in just a click. They should be available around Yahoo, Google and Bing search engines. Currently most people shop around the internet and a good real estate agent should know where to get their customers.

Inspiration/ Passion

Ability to inspire possible clients is one quality that a real estate agent cannot do without. The agent should know that you need him to help you get a good house and they should play this part by having a rare passion towards what they are selling. They should ‘own’ both the property for sale and the possible customer.

Having a passion for their work, makes real estate agents stand out from the rest of the pack as customers feel some excitement about them. Successful real estate agents should have an enthusiasm that pulls people towards them.

Knowledge on the Market

Having information about existing markets is an asset to the real estate agent. The agent should have knowledge on how to negotiate, strike, and sign deals. The agent should easily understand what a client wants and should be able to provide the best deals that leave the customer satisfied. Knowledge of the market helps the agent ‘specialize’ in what the customer wants at a particular time. Different real estate products require different approaches and the agent who knows this will succeed.

Legally Licensed

A good real estate agent should have all the certifications needed in the business. Their licenses should be up to date and these documents should be easily available in case customers are supposed to be confirmed. Successful real estate agents should not have complaints surrounding them and their history should be able to support them. Legal documents create the brand that a business sells to customers.
